s3lim is designed from the ground up as an in-account, zero-egress serverless application.

  • In-Account Processing: All processing of your S3 inventory files, object metadata, and bucket analytics is performed entirely within your own AWS account.
  • No Data Transmission: No S3 data, storage metrics, prefix structures, file lists, or configuration data ever leave your AWS environment.
  • No Access: We do not have access to, nor do we collect, copy, or store, your S3 bucket contents or analytical reports.

2. Information We Collect

While our software does not transmit your S3 data to us, we do collect limited information necessary to manage subscriptions, provide customer support, and maintain our business operations:

  • Marketplace Subscriber Information: When you subscribe to s3lim via the AWS Marketplace, AWS provides us with technical identifiers (such as your AWS Account ID and Subscription ID) to enable licensing and billing verification.
  • Support Communications: When you contact us for technical assistance (e.g., via support@slimstorage.io), we collect your name, email address, company name, and any information you choose to include in your inquiry.
  • Voluntary Contact Information: We may collect your contact information (such as your name and email address) if you voluntarily register to receive updates, newsletters, product announcements, and release notes.
